Traveling solo, but not alone

A reflection on solo travel, courage, and the connections that form
when women gather with intention in wild places.

For many women, Southern Africa is a dream trip, but going alone can feel like a big leap.

You may be wondering: Will I feel safe? Will I connect with the group? Will I know what to expect? What if I have no one to go with?

Living Wild Collective creates small-group nature immersions in Southern Africa for women and solo travelers who want meaningful, supported travel without feeling like they are simply joining a tour.

From your first questions to your return home, you are supported through the logistics, preparation, and experience itself. Once there, the journey unfolds slowly, through wildlife, ecological learning, conservation, local guides, shared meals, fireside conversations, and time to simply be present in the landscape.

Many guests arrive without knowing anyone. That changes quickly.

Connection grows naturally when people share something meaningful: following tracks through the bush, watching elephants move across the landscape, learning from conservation partners, sitting beneath a sky full of stars, or laughing together after a long day.

These journeys are designed for travelers who have dreamed of Africa but want something deeper than a traditional safari small groups, thoughtful support, purposeful travel, and a genuine sense of belonging.

You may arrive solo, but you leave part of the Living Wild community.

With Love, Molly
